Mike Jacobs - I have lots of very fond memories of Charl  - memories of the farm, memories of 'No No' (the sailing boat both families shared on Rutland Water) and memories of the two families just spending time together.   One quick example:   I remember we all went out for a pub lunch one Sunday after "chader" at the shul and before going sailing.    Charl ordered some sort of meat meal  (I have no idea what) and then absolutely refused to order a desert with milk in it.   The fact that the meat was - shall we say - not 100% kosher was of no interest to her at all!  She had learnt all about kashrut that morning and that was that  ...... no milk after meat!!

Timmy (the dog) loved chasing snowballs and Charl loved throwing them! When Timmy caught one he would get showered with a thousand snowflakes, much to Charls delight. edit

This photo was taken at Yosemite National Park. The river runs through the bottom of the Yosemite Valley.The girls were having a welcome cool down in the river. The temperature was around 92F.

It was all part of a marvellous Holiday. edit
