Our Darling Charl

Your death segmented our lives into life with char and life without char.

Many people say that you are still here – in our hearts and in our heads.  That is so true darling.  You have contributed to making so many of us here the people we are today.  In your absence we realise just how much precious life and love you gave to us – all so generously.

But as Sol, so clearly stated, one dinner time.
‘I miss Mama’

I responded ‘I really miss mummy too.  But she is always in your heart and head.’

And Sol replied wisely.  ‘But I miss real mama.  I want her to be at home.  I want to play football with her.’

And I felt and understood exactly what he meant.

I miss the real, living Charl
- your radiant smile
- your hugs and kisses
- your non stop worrying
- your reminders of, birthdays, anniversaries and other peoples important events
- your slightly rebellious spirit and view on life
- your smell of Gucci Rush
- your unending energy and ability to get things done
- your opinion that always looked at all angles and took on board others peoples view
- your unconditional love and devotion to your family and friends

You.  We miss you so much darling.

We were blessed by your presence and we are still blessed now.  You have left behind a dynasty.  Char you would be so proud of your boys.
- Your M who has been a utter inspiration so strong and positive
- Your Sol his magical spirit and strong opinions
- Your Sam, ever smiling and serious in his approach to life

You have left a legacy of love.  Family and friends who’s love for you and love for each other will allow us to carry on.

We love you Charl to the moon, stars, and back again. We will always be there for you in the same way that you were for us.
